World Summit 2010: Call for Nominations

 

Images & Voices of Hope announces its 11th Annual Awards of Appreciation which recognize outstanding work in media that promotes positive personal and social change.

Images & Voices of Hope is now accepting nominations for these awards. We will honor individuals or organizations whose commitment to constructive change has been demonstrated through exceptional work in journalism, marketing, advertising, arts, culture, and digital media. Your recommendation for this award should state the extent to which the nominee has proven this commitment. Please submit examples of excellence in media for which the nominee was responsible. Examples may include print, broadcast, or new media projects that illuminate humanity’s capacity for greatness, inspire compassion, or show the impact of dialogue and action.

Awards are given in the following categories:
• Journalism (print, broadcast, digital media)
• Narrative and Documentary Film (film, video, digital media)
• Marketing and Advertising (print, broadcast, digital media)
• Arts and Culture (all media)
• Digital Gaming
 
How to submit a nomination:
You may nominate up to one individual for each award. You may also nominate yourself.

E-mail a one-page biography of the nominee and a brief paragraph that describes the work. Please include links to relevant Web sites.  Submit your nominations online or address your nominations to Meredith Porte  or Shireen Chada. Communications should be in English.

Deadline: All submissions must be received by Friday, August 20, 2010.

A celebration to honor the recipients of the Awards of Appreciation will be held on Saturday, September 25, at the Images and Voices of Hope 2010 World Summit. Winners must be present to win.
