Images & Voices of Hope is a global dialogue that seeks to strengthen the role of media as agents of world benefit. It works to expand the awareness of the choices those in media make that raise public trust, generate constructive meaning and amplify human hope, enhancing humanity's capacity for life-promoting actions.
Our Images & Voices of Hope annual World Summit will take place September 27-30 this year in upstate New York. One of the highlights at the Summit is the Awards of Appreciation where we will honor people in media and arts whose work promotes positive personal and social change. We are now taking nominations for these awards. If a person does receive an award, he or she will have to be present at the World Summit in upstate New York. Some of the people who have received Awards in the past include: Executive Producer of Frontline David Fanning; Director of TED Media June Cohen and Sanjeev Chatterjee, Vice Dean of University of Miami School of Communications and Executive Director of Knight Center for International Media; Georgia Popplewell, Managing Editor and blogger, Global Voices and composer/producer/recording artist Gary Malkin.
