Shooting in the Wild!
Chris Palmer founded the Center for Environmental Filmmaking at American University and is a worldclass wildlife film producer. Now he's also the author of a new book, "Shooting in the Wild: An Insiders Account of Making Movies in the Animal Kingdom." His book explores the hidden side of wildlife film-making where too often there's sensationalism, distortion, and animal cruelty. Palmer's passion for movie making led him to showcase filmmakers who are reforming the craft with a strong focus on ethics, not just entertainment.
Palmer's adventurous career as a veteran filmmaker has landed him in some nerve-wracking arenas. What does he do to relax? Stand up comedy! He also is a wise member of our own Images and Voices of Hope "thought leader dialogues."
