I am pleased to announce that San Francisco State University's Renaissance Journalism Center has selected 15 top journalists for Vietnam Reporting Project fellowships.  Each journalist will travel to Vietnam to examine the toxic health and environmental legacy left by the use of Agent Orange.  The group inludes three Pulitzer Prize winners, representatives of the Vietnamese American news media and two student journalists from SFSU.  Please check out the

 That's a rhetorical question, of course.

 I thought some of you might be interested in a project I was involved in during the past year.  It revolves around the complicated relationship developed between independent filmmakers and the foundations/donors who support their work.  Often these relationships become stormy...often over issues revolving around artistic/journalistic freedom.This project offers guidelines to help the two sides figure out how to avoid these kinds of blow-ups.
