From time to time we link to other global organizations that share our vision of media as an agent of world benefit. At the dawn of the 21st century, a group of journalists gathered at the World Media Assembly in Sarajevo to discuss the business pressures on fraying news organizations. They produced the "Sarajevo Commitment," calling on all members of the media to make a pledge to integrity and public service. Its message still resonates today. |

What if young boys were imbued with a sense of empathy and fair play to counteract a culture that victimizes women? "Breakaway", an interactive video football game designed by students at the Emergent Media Centre of Champlain College in Vermont, hopes to accomplish just that. |

Treaster's classroom on "Reporting Global Environmental Issues," at the University of Miami, where he televideo conferenced international experts including Nobel Prize winner Steve Running into Miami from around the world using Skype and the university's high-tech equipment.
