Ann DeMarle is an associate dean at Champlain College directing its Emergent Media Center (EMC), Masters of Fine Arts in Emergent Media, and MS in Emergent Media in Shanghai, China. She is the founder of the Game Development and the Multimedia undergraduate degrees at Champlain and launched EMC to bring students’ media and technology expertise to businesses and non-profits looking to explore and create new solutions. Her key projects include UN sponsored BREAKAWAY—a game to address violence against women, two RWJ funded games for Cystic Fibrosis patients, and an IBM Project in virtual world space.
